Taking place every summer from mid-June through late-August, the annual Summer Concert Series presents performances from musicians spanning all genres from folk and funk to rock and pop. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and picnic baskets to enjoy the casual atmosphere. Those looking to show off their dancing skills are encouraged to come up front.

Fourth of July Parade and Celebration

The city's annual Fourth of July parade starts at the Wells Fargo parking lot on Santa Cruz, the city's main street, and ends at Burgess Park on Alma and Burgess Avenue. Guests are encouraged to come in their red, white, and blue. Celebrations for the day include more than just a parade. For $6, parade goers get a wristband for access to all Independence Day-related activities throughout the day. These activities include:

Annual Connoisseur's Marketplace

Usually taking place in late July, this annual two-day art and wine festival takes place on Santa Cruz Avenue. The art show includes works by over 200 artists from throughout the west coast. Activities include:

• Selection of wines and micro brews
• Kids' fun zone
• Additional entertainment

Halloween Trick-or-Treat

Usually taking place the weekend before Halloween in late October if Halloween doesn't fall on a weekend, the city's annual trick-or-treat event is a great time to get to know your neighbors and enjoy the spirit of this time of year - and maybe even savior some delicious treats.
